Motion Tweens with Spin

Imagine that you are on the roof of a ten story building and you throw a series of objects down to the ground. This spinning and falling effect is what we are trying to animate in this project.

This is what a sample of a spin using two layers:

1. First, draw an object on your stage.

2. Convert it to a graphic symbol. Select it > MODIFY > CONVERT TO SYMBOL.

3. Click down the time line for as many frames as you like.

4. Insert a KEYFRAME by clicking on INSERT > TIMELINE >KEYFRAME.

5. Move your graphic symbol to where you would like it to end up.

6. Resize your image so that it's small.MODIFY > TRANSFORM > SCALE.

7. Now, click in between your keyframes like this:

8. Add a motion tween by clicking INSERT > TIMELINE >CREATE MOTION TWEEN.

9. Test your movie so far by clicking CONTROL > TEST MOVIE.

10. Click on your first keyframe. INSERT > TIMELINE EFFECTS > TRANSFORM/TRANSITION > TRANSFORM.

11. Place a number for the SPIN box. CLick okay.

12. Test your movie. It should look as though the object is falling and spinning. Here is a video example of how to do this lesson.
