Sound Effects Project

The idea of this project is to make use sound effects to create a soundscape. Use the folder entitled, "Hollywood Sound Effects" by clicking on the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the computer. Search for Hollywood and you will find it.

First, look and listen to the variety of sound effects available to you. There are thousands of files to choose from. Decide on a soundscape you would like to create. Maybe a jungle or an urban city. Go wherever your imagination takes you.

Here is a link to a great site that has thousands of hours of footage you could use: Archive.org Create a new folder for your project on your desktop.

Copy the sound effect files you want into your folder (you need to use at least 50).

Start a new FCP project and save it to this new folder.

Import your sound files into your new project.

Start finding visuals to go with it. Pictures (Internet, your phone), video footage (you can shoot more or use existing video stock), and import your visuals into FCP.

Start editing. Keep sounds in their own tracks.

It must be between 2 and 3 minutes in length.
