Objectives:

• Apply basic concepts of photography to making a silent short

The Silent Short

Now's your chance to pull together all that you've learned about camera work into your first short film. The guidelines for this film are as follows:

1. It must be between 1 and 3 minutes in length
2. No dialogue...it's a silent film...think Chaplain. You may, however, use cards with words to help explain things.
3. Have it be funny, or at least amusing to watch.
4. Tell a little story, have some sort of plot.
5. Apply the steady camera shots you've been learning.
   Remember, you haven't learned to edit yet, so you will have to get it right using the camera alone!
