The Music Video Project

This first big film project will be broken down into stages. In the first stage, we will study a variety of great music videos and try to answer the question, what makes a music video great?

Each of you will come up with a concept for a music video. You will choose a song and come up with an idea and a "pitch" to the class as to why your video should be made.

Next, we will begin pre-production on approximately 10 music videos. You will work with choosing a cast, rehearsing, storyboarding, and planning all elements of your production.

The, the actual shooting will be planned and finished. What's left after that is editing and polishing and perhaps submitting your completed music video to festivals and tv stations. This means your lyrics have to be clean...they can't have cursing or they won't be aired.
