Keynote Presentation Number 3: Linked Learning Project: Creating a Lab Safety Presentation for Chemistry Students and Teachers

Essential Question for this project: Can multimedia increase student awareness of safety?

In this project, you will create a keynote presentation that will be used IN REAL LIFE. The objective is to make a presentation that chemistry teachers can use WITH REAL STUDENTS TO teach them how to stay safe in a chemistry lab. You will work in a group of four and you will need to divide up the duties that make up this project.

You will start with the handout (click here to download) that lists the basic rules of working safely in a chemistry lab. Your job is to translate these rules into slides that creatively bring the rules to life. You will need to use illustrations and photographs in all of your slides. In addition, you will need to incorporate music and sound FX into your presentations.
