Keynote Presentation Number 3
You can incorporate Flash movies and Photoshop Files into your Keynote presentations. The trick with Flash is that you need to use the Export feature. Open up a Flash Project and Click on File > Export > Movie. However, you must change the format to Quicktime, otherwise you won't be able to place it in your Keynote presentation. Export the file to your desktop. Once you have exported the Flash file as a Quicktime, you will see it as a MOV file (that's the file extension). Now, all you have to do is drag the file onto your slide and that's it.
Photoshop files are even easier. Just drag your Photoshop file onto your slide. Keynote will even let you use files that are regular Photoshop files with the PSD extension.
Assignment
Use the principle of "tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them and tell them what you've told them" to create a five slide presentation that includes three Flash files and two photoshop files.
Your first slide needs a title with your name and a short introduction. Use different slides for each of your Flash and Photoshop files. The slides need to have some sort of unifying theme (subject). Have a concluding slide that briefly sums up your presentation.
Detailed Instructions:
1. Open Flash and create a new project.
2. Either draw something or use the text tool to type a word.
3. Select what you just drew and convert it to a graphic symbol. MODIFY > CONVERT TO SYMBOL > GRAPHIC.
4. Insert a keyframe down the timeline. INSERT > TIMELINE >KEYFRAME.
5. Tween it. INSERT > TIMELINE > CREATE MOTION TWEEN.
6. Save it and then Export it. FILE > EXPORT > EXPORT MOVIE.
7. Select the format as QUICKTIME. Note that when you select Quicktime, it converts the file ending to MOV. Export this to the desktop. This is very important.
8.Open up a new Keynote slide presentation.
9. Click INSERT > CHOOSE then select your MOV file. It will now be in your slide.
10. To insert Photoshop files into your Keynote slide show, just drag it in from the desktop.
11. To finish this project, you need 7 slides total. One is the intro, then three Flash slides, two photoshop slides, and a closing slide.
