How To Tell a Great Digital Story
There are three options to do this project:
Option 1
Create a video that dramatizes or illustrates a defining moment, a message, or a lesson learned from your own life or the life of someone you know.
In this project, you will tell a story using digital software. The story is about a moment in your life that holds importance for you. Maybe it was a point when you changed or realized something important---what we call a defining moment. It can also be about a lesson you learned about life itself.
It doesn’t have to be “earth shattering.” It could be simple. Like the moment you realized that you had a really great friend that you could trust. Maybe there was a time when you discovered that you had a tremendous love of the ocean. Maybe you heard a story that changed the way you think about things. Maybe you discovered that you love taking things apart and putting them back together again. The possibilities are endless. It will need to be three minutes long.
Option 2
Make a fictional short film that tells a dramatic story. You will need actors and a short script. The requirement is that it tells an actual story. It will need to be 3 minutes long.
Option 3
Make a documentary style film where you will be interviewing people on camera and then editing the results. This option is also three minutes long.
We will show the best films on the district TV station KDOL and at the Skyline Film Fest on June 7th.
